Add the equipment weight and maximum carried load. Do not simply divide by every installed castor: uneven floors and frame deflection may leave one castor temporarily unloaded. Include impact, obstacles, towing and the desired safety margin.
2. Choose a Wheel Material for the Floor and Environment
Elastic rubber and thermoplastic rubber can support quieter travel and floor protection. Solid rubber is a durable general-purpose option. Polyurethane often balances load, wear and rolling performance. Nylon and polypropylene can provide low rolling resistance on suitable floors. Final performance depends on the complete wheel construction, not the material name alone.
3. Confirm Wheel Diameter and Overall Height
Larger diameters generally roll over floor joints and obstacles more easily, but available installation height and turning clearance must be checked. Taishan catalog families span 75–260 mm; each series supports only the sizes listed in its table.
4. Select Mounting and Directional Control
Compare top-plate and bolt-hole mounting dimensions. A mobile frame may combine swivel and fixed castors, or use total brakes, tail brakes, central brakes or directional locks. Choose configurations from the same compatible product group where possible.
5. Verify Bearing, Speed and Duty Cycle
Bearing choice, continuous travel, towing speed, floor contamination, temperature and maintenance affect rolling behavior and service life. Send these conditions when the application is more demanding than a manually pushed indoor cart.
6. Quote by Code Number
After choosing a product group, select the required bracket types and code numbers from the parameter tables. Include quantity and application details so the factory can confirm the recommendation.
